How each model reasoned
GLM 5.2GLM 5.2
A structured 4-3-3 combining zonal compactness with direct vertical transitions
GLM 5.2 analyzed the soccer engine's physics, match loop, and formation coordinates to write a comprehensive 602-line team policy from scratch. After fixing a minor coordinate typo, the model simulated its policy against a "gegenpress" opponent, which revealed a severe performance deficit as the team lost all five matches with a -5.8 average goal differential. The session abruptly concluded due to an SSL connection error before the model could iterate on these poor results and refine its strategy.
Seed 2.0 LiteSeed 2.0 Lite
Disciplined 4-4-2 with structured zonal defense and open-man passing
After analyzing the soccer physics in `sim/world.py`, the model drafted an initial 115-line policy that suffered a series of heavy 0–5 defeats against the "gegenpress" opponent. To address this, the model resolved a kickoff-state crash and iteratively refined its player logic over several edits to boost offensive output. These adjustments successfully increased shots on target and secured the team's first victory, narrowing the average goal deficit from -9.4 to -3.0 before final submission.
